This question is actually on behalf of my son. He's made a game in which a bowl of killer cheespuffs is chasing a boy. In the ORIGINAL game, there was a timer, and all you could do was try to keep away from the cheesepuffs as long as possible.
In his latest version, a lamp sometimes pops up on the dresser, and when you move the boy over the lamp, the lamp smacks the cheesepuffs and the Cheesepuffs Health variable counter loses a point. If you get the cheesepuffs to zero health, you win.
Problem is this: Even though he deleted the "time" variable in his scripts, it still keeps showing up in his game whenever he posts it to the Scratch website. So now, the Cheesepuffs Health text box has a smaller "time" text box directly over it. You can still see the cheesepuff health points remaining, but it's still distracting.
I tried downloading the project, removing the time variable, and uploading it myself, and still have the same trouble.
Any idea as to why the time variable text box keeps rearing its ugly head?

Could you post a link to the project?

That's so weird...?

I downloaded the project and it looks like not all the scripts using the time variable have been deleted (it's one of the scripts for the stage), which is why it continues popping up whenever the project executes. Just remove the script from the stage and hopefully that will solve the problem.

Cheddargirl, you're my hero!
Man, I've been looking at all the sprites for over an hour, but I'm so new to Scratch myself that I forgot the stage could have coding, too.
I'm so relieved, thanks so much for your help! You rock.
