U OS (aka ELF OS) [Help Wanted]
This is hopefully going to be one of the biggest scratch OS out there. I have tons and tons of ideas! This isn't going to be codded in Scratch, but rather a Scratch mod called Panther (Pantherprogramming.weebly.com) This OS is going to be a community project, because you guys are going to get to help code this project, do the artwork, come up with the ideas, advertise and more!
What I need!
Artwork
Backgrounds: I'm going to need some cool wallpapers to have for the background of the OS. I want them to say ELF, with a dark background.
Windows: Pretty much every OS has windows. No, I don't mean Microsoft Windows. You know, like where the web browser is shown.
Icons: We're going to need lots and lots of icons. Just start makin them. I need any specific, I'll let you know
Logo: We need a good logo, that features an E, or ELF
Advertising Banners: We need some good advertising banners! The more eye catching it is, the better.
Coding
ELF programming langue: I want users to be able to program games, and programs in ELF.
Desktop Icons: I want users to be able to make desktop icons, that can be moved around, and if possible, make it so users can rename files. Also, if possible, I want it so users can make folders to store files.
Ideas
Navigation: We need to think of a way to navigate through the OS. Is it going to be a navigation system like mac, linux, or windows?
ELF: What should ELF stand for?
Other Ideas: Just post your ideas for more features to add to ELF!
Sounds
Boot up Sound: A simple sound or song that plays when the OS boots up.
Error Message: A sound that plays when the user has an error, or a message.
Advertisers
Advertise In Signature: You can advertise in your signature using your own banner.
Advertise With Projects: You can advertise by making scratch projects
Advertise By Word Of Mouth: If you know someone who likes scratch, tell them about this!
Advertise Online: Advertise to people on facebook, twitter, myspace, ect. who like scratch.
As you can see, there's a lot to do, so what do you say? Do you want to help?

It looks like it's going to be pretty hard to make a web browser. I don't know of any Panther blocks that would make this easier. The only idea I had, was to take the HTML code, and turn that into the web page by stamping it. We'd have to have a sprite with each letter, number ect. Any ideas on that?

Well, I'm not programming this in scratch, but you can make some programs for it in scratch. Also, yes I'm also 456bingo123.
