Last year, the Internet officially ran out of IP addresses. June 6th, it will upgrade to IPv6, which supports 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 Different IP addresses!

Yeah, I believe that you can find your IPv6 address, but I'm not quite sure if they do anything yet.

You would only have a local IPv6 as ISP's only issue the current one. Alternatively using MAC addresses would be safer (As they are hard to change) and easier.
