is thier a place i can sign up to be a beta tester on scratch2.0

Firstly, the beta version doesn't exist yet. It's still at the pre-alpha stage tongue
Secondly, I don't know if they're looking for testers yet, but even if they were, they'd probably want experienced Scratchers. No offense, but you only joined about half a year ago, so they'd probably want people with a little bit more experience.

the reason i asked was a few proffessers from MIT (not related to scratch team) told me that i should try and find a beta vertion for scratch

You will probably get a better response directly from the Scratch Team. You can use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to directly contact them. smile
