My best is Language Arts. I'm the 5th best speller in my school, the only person in my class with a reading level of grade 11+, I always get As in it, and I'm the only grade 6 in my school to get into the top 5 in this year's spelling bee.
And I ace all the language arts tests.
My other subjects... I'm pretty good at them, but definitely not as good as I am at Language Arts.
My worst is probably math.
Discuss school subjects and stuff.

I had a college reading level in 6th grade and I get A's on essays and whatever
I struggle a bit with math though
But like, College Reading level in 5th.

Me too. I read the Harry Potter series in kindergarten and grade 1, and my teacher wouldn't believe me (Or my mom when she explained), and made me read baby books like the rest of my class >_>

I've been reading since I was 3
My 1st grade teacher somehow thought I 'cheated' on this one writing assignment
English is pretty much my one bragging right

I read the first Harry Potter in first grade and when I explained I wanted to take the "AR Test" she told me I should wait until I can understand it better.

Same here
I took the test anyway

I didn't take an AR test in 1st grade, but my teacher looked at me wierd when I wrote down "Harry Potter" in a form where we had to write down our favourite book, etc.

I take tests on books I read years ago and still get perfect scores
We have a point goal by quarter and I don't really make it a point to read anymore
I don't take tests anymore.
The teachers are more free-willing about how we prove we're reading or whatever now.
I could probably do well to use the back of a book, skim it a bit, and write a report.

I was the third best speller in my school when I was in the sixth grade, and I was the only one of my grade in the top five as well :>
Marks-wise my best class is art or gym, academic performance wise it's probably language arts or social studies, because those interest me more than the others. And if it's boring I don't try, which is a bad policy I don't suggest adopting ever (Since I'm failing the classes I don't care for and will probably fail this year altogether eventually)
I read on a "twelfth grade level" but it's not something I brag (or talk) about

I tend not to, either. The levels were way too easy to get.
I won a spelling bee in second grade. They owed me ice cream from the locally owned place, but I ended up with canned fruit punch because my teacher forgot.

Kid2: OK then. Alison, who's smarter, me or So-and-so?

My school's test only goes up to grade 11, everything else is 11+. And I read really quickly, so I reckon mine is 12+.
But really, I'm not sure. SCHOOL TEST, Y U NO DO 1 MORE GRADE?

In first grade, I made it to the final round of our spelling bee
The teacher was giving me harder words than everyone else was getting because she knew I could spell them (I got FRIEND. And turquoise, but FRIEND MAN, and the other kids got like "been")
But yeah final round and it was down to this kid who I never liked very much and me, and the word was does, and I was like "I GOT THIS MAN, D-O-S-E"
;_;

I think I won with that word.
I bet they have that as the last word in all low level Bee's.

IKR? I did this spelling bee when I was in 5th grade, and I didn't know the I-before-E rule. Pfffff. They gave me "Chief." I said "C-H-E-I-F".
On the latest one, I got stuck on "Passat" and spelled it "Fassad". It sounded like that and I'd never heard it actually said before. -_-
I knew all the words everyone else was spelling though -_-

In third grade I got in the final school spelling bee, but I messed up on the word 'receive'
I knew how to spell it too, but I thought I heard the other girl (who spelled it r-e-c-i-e-v-e ) spell it the right way, and thought the right way was wrong
...In the class-wide one, I spelled 'nucleus', 'newkleus' because I had no idea what a nucleus was XD no one else knew it either though, so I won
