To physically give it to someone?
Print it.
To e-mail it?
Upload it to an image hosting website, such as IMGUR or the ones above.
Also, you could just attach it to an e-mail with the built-in feature (attach files...)

Ooh, you're probably using the GIMP file type, xcf (Or whatever it's called).
You need to save it in a different file type.

You can either send them an email, and attach it, or you can upload it to an image sharing site like TinyPic and then give them the URL of it

4. After your file name, type in "." then what file type you want ( Eg. Coolpicture.jpg)
5. Press save
6. Done
