You know, you just can't get real and proper 3D sprites in Scratch...

Alright then, whatever you try and do you can't get real and proper 3D sprites in Scratch. The furthest thing you can do with it is pseudo 3D, and it would be very unlikely if anyone managed to make a perfectly 3D project. Heres a trick on how to make it look from top view:
[blocks]<change size by( [/blocks]
[blocks]<change x by( [/blocks]
[blocks]<change y by( [/blocks]
And the very furthest look to 3D is by doing:
[blocks]<switch to costume[ [/blocks]
Or:
[blocks]<next costume>[/blocks]
But doing the method just above is extremely hard. In fact, it may only be possible for film. I advise you that the best way to make it look 3D is by doing the first method shown. However, some have managed to make it look perfectly 3D, however most of what I've seen are racing games

Offset rotation is an interesting experiment: try my Partial Double Helix projects.

No, that might not work. Downloading 3D sprites would be hard, and even if you suceeded then it still might not appear as 3D

Would you like me to make you a project to show you a 3d sprite is possible on scratch? I'll do it and then show you a link.

its not, downloading the blender 3-D things comes out perfect. this an example of a 3-D download of a sprite(i made this in blender) http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/golfer3/446234/
