The rule makes sense. Why would you let more than 3 classes out into the yard at once? That would be madness

I take it that your yard isn't too big. 80 kids running around in a small space could get hurt

Honestly, some of those points from the one who hated school made me think "I don't want to live on this planet anymore"!

I thought I only saw idiots talking about how computers can do everything in funny pictures on image-hosting sites! And math most definitely involves lots of variables even if you don't notice so the whole "Screw math" point is obsolete as well. And most stuff you learn are not random facts either.

I agree and support your position Imnotbob. And I don't aspire to be a teacher but I do realize the importance of school even if I don't enjoy it.

Person arguing against school, do you like cooking at fast food places? Because it would seem you aren't getting into a college, speaking to anyone that's not English, applying math in your work, or have a desire for a better overall knowledge.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Actually, math is basically the root of programming. In the beginning, everything seems pointless, but the reason they teach you that is that you need it for the important stuff. Take applied mathematics - it's basically exactly what it sounds like: mathematics you can use in the real world (well, if you have a job in a science related thing). Computer science basically relies on algebra - which includes finding an equation without knowing the variable - and algorithms (also math). What about physics (which, I should add, programmers should know plenty of for games and things)? Cryptography? Astronomy? There is SO much math if you want to get a job in basically any science.

Also, in certain high schools, they do teach Computer Sciences. I know because my sister is working on a project right now (well, not literally, but you know).

Additionally, about spell check. In an office environment, you need to communicate using typed notes sometimes, right? If you mess up on it (confusing they're with there, we're with were, etc.) you will look like a moron to anyone who knows better. And grammar, too. I'll admit it, a lot of the stuff in English is pretty useless and I forget all of it near instantly. But if you want to be a writer, they teach composition later in life (how to make you sound not like an idiot). And what if you need to fill in a resume (with accented e) or form by hand? You will not get a job that pays enough to live (and maybe not even one that doesn't) if you can't spell. And even on the internet, you need an at least reasonable degree of reading comprehension if you don't want to be know as "the nincompoop who can't read".

You know all those people that made Scratch? I guarantee that AT LEAST half of them (and hopefully more) were very good at math.

School is important. You just need to filter out the stupid things from the things you need to know.

Wow, that was long.

OH MY GOSH THAT'S SO STUPID!!!!!!!!
but if enough students are mad about it and maybe make a petition and everyone sigms the petition, then the principal/teacher/whoever came up with this rul might change their mind about it.
I'm glad I'm not you.

Maybe you should start bringing your own entertainment...not a laptop, but marbles and cards are a lot of fun.  Or maybe one of those folding cloth frisbees or a small rubber ball.  We never had supplied equipment when I was in school - so we brought our own.  Or just played various forms of tag.

That's a good idea--It irks me, though, at our elementary school we were low on basketballs and stuff and we weren't allowed to bring toys. We couldn't even play tag because we'd "get hurt".
Then in my last year there, we weren't allowed to stand around in groups talking. I have no idea why. I guess they thought we were conspiring against the school. We just had to play with the lame school equipment they had
