Cannot alter (turn down) volume on Scratch

I've downloaded Scratch to a few computers (Macs) in my Lab. On most of them, we are unable to alter the volume or use USB Headphones when playing back examples - the sound still comes out of the in-built speakers. It is working fine for all other programs and sound settings. Does it use a different sound board or something?

Interesting...
Try:
A differant set of headphones/speakers.
Restarting computers.
Exiting and reopening Scratch.

try:
getting new speakers/headphones or get your com sound fixed
restarting computers
check if any parts are stuck in the speakers/headphone hole

maybe you should try plugging and unplugging the headphones in... smile
