Question on Spam?
Would providing a link to join a program so I could get points (like a referral) be spam?

It probably depends on where the link is. If you started a discussion about whatever the program was on Misc. then got the link approved, it wouldn't be spam. Though I'm not an expert on this, so you might want to wait till someone like Paddle2See says something.

I'm afraid we do consider those point systems as a form of spam, since they are being used to advertise a commercial website.
