I think an anthro is an animal that has human qualities

Anthropomorphic animals (usually cats). They're meant to be ~us~, but lots of times they (especially in fanfic) are either meant to be creepy or just are.

Eh. Whatever, I don't really care. I'm not big on the obsessive fans, (even though I could honestly consider myself to be one xD) but I like the books. That' s just my opinion, though. It's truly not for everyone.

[rant]I haven't read the books,(They don't interest me. Plus, I'm kinda old for them) but the Warrior Cat colouring contests and the fancharacters are getting on my nerves.
And last time I checked, warriors were barbarian-ish characters that have weapons and armour and they killed people. Not a bunch of prissy, fluffy little kitty cats.[/endofrant/]
The premise is that the cats are living in the wild, and they reject "soft living" and stuff and they have a code that they live by (which, incidentally, is broken at least once by every cat in the series - it is actually stated that as kits, nearly every cat broke a minor rule). It's obviously meant for kids, so it's not good for older people, but it's OK.

Ah, okay. The fan characters are pretty 'fluffy-ish' though.

Yeah, instead of good projects there are animations of "anime" cats that ALWAYS have a scar on their eye, and ALWAYS some tuft that covers the other eye.
Jeez.

Huh, really? I never could have guessed

Most of them are recolors.

I don't like books about animals

actually the roleplaying can be kinda fun, it depends what "group type" you join
i liked the original arc but it just got crazy bad at Power at Three
haven't read the last few books, the storyline has really deteriorated. too bad, used to be a big fan in 5th and 6th grade. I guess I "outgrew" it, but they're a good memory~

That's what they looked like?
Nah, I'm talking about the cheap easy to draw cartoon versions you find everywhere on scratch. Step one; Take a base wolf from any given project.
Step two; Make it an outline.
Step three; Color it grey, brown, whatever and add some cool features like maybe a horn
Step four; Add some neon stripes and ****.
?????
Profit.
...the humanlike part?
Ah, that just means they represent humans (AKA us) in whatever community we choose to use them in.Pretty sure you're thinking of fursonas or whatever'''
Fursonas?
Nah, that's only the term for warrior cats.
Hedgehogs are known as anthros.
...I think.
I just said fursona is the term for warrior cats.
waaaaat
Also since when were we talking about hedgehogs????
