There is no "surefire" way to pass either the written or the BTW test, other than knowing what you need to know. Just study for the written or practice for the btw

Anyway, the test is near-impossible to fail on. Maybe you are just nervous when you take it? The majority of it is just common sense. Just study some more, esspecially the signs and and blood alcohal levels, and you will pass.
