earlier i asked how to make a non-cliched medieval england, now i have a question about my native american world. They need a measurement system. Should i use the metric system, or makw up my own. If i should create, it how do keep it simple?

well the culture is similar to Aztecs, and the aztecs grew corn so i figured they would measure lengths in cornstalks. Now i need a unit(s) for weight, travel, and capacity.

But that's like that old metric unit that measured in arm lengths- they would all be different!

I'm not sure about a weight system, but if you're trying to be somewhat accurate:
- this link suggests that Native Americans based distance on how far it took to get to a destination
- this online article suggest time was based on cyclical things in nature like the passing of seasons or bird migrations or the rise and fall of the sun during the day
