What is Scratch!?
Scratch is a easy programing language for anyone if you do not have an account sign in. To sign in look at the top of the screen click the sign in button. You will have to fill in a bunch of things! If you already have an account click the Login button. To download the Scratch program go to the home page. On the side of the screen there is a download button. Click that button. You will have to fill out a bunch of things!
P.S. Figure out the rest the program and the website yourself and if you do not know what a website is then don't install Scratch and ask a computer geek!

Thanks for sharing your definition of Scratch. I like it! 
The only thing I would say is:
"if you don't know what a website is... surprise, you're looking at one! "
It would be cool if others could post their own definitions of Scratch as in a way that any kid or adult could understand. Maybe after we have 20 definitions we can mix them together and come up with a common definition made by lots of people! Would be a nice experiment!

With only one thread, and only one definition in that thread, it hardly seems necessary to open a whole new Forum section.
So far no one else has stepped up for the challenge of defining scratch.
I considered attempting it, but could not come up with a clear, brief definition of scratch.

Here's my defenition: (straight from "my own" dictionary)
Scratch (scrach):
An easy programming language created by the MIT media lab that is fun for almost anyone and is so easy to learn anyone can use it. Scratch is sometimes limited, but has other features to make up for it. Anyone interested in video game making but doesn't want to learn lots of code is reccomended to use it. Your projects can be posted on the web for the world to see and is a useful tool for expressing ideas and creativity easily. The website is http://scratch.mit.edu/.
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Scratch: A programing language that ranges from simple to insanley complex, depending on the creator.
That's the best that I can come up with at the moment.
And remember class: When calculating the drag coefficient of the internet, always doodle a chicken in the margins so it will peck away your cares.
