Umm... No. Voice recognition is very long way off, and I know its in the iPhone 4S. Thats a huge co,pany making that, not a couple of people. Siri requires a server. Theres also accents, pronounciations (loo-teneant and left-tenant are various pronounciations), pitch, It's not possible for at least 10 years..

I think he/she means that you speak into a microphone and then it recognises what you say and puts it into words.
