There is a very good chance that there is always someone better than you. It's not pessimism, it's just life. Be the best you can be, but be yourself. Don't go off and create Angry Birds, create the NEXT BIG THING. Don't go by other people's definition of "better," either.

Don't feel bad about yourself. There is always going to be someone better than you. The only person you should be comparing yourself to is you.

When someone makes a town 3x larger than mine in Wurm I make one 10x larger with 40 guards.
The moral of the story is, don't sit around moping, get out there and slaughter them.

btw, thanks guys, you really helped me feel better. Cos I just realised, What average 11 year old knows how to program? The 11 year olds I know PLAY, not make. So in a way, I feel WAY ahead. BTW, I learnt how to write yours faithfully in Japanese (we have to write to our favourite country's embassy which is in London)

just becuase he/she was put on a TV show doesn't mean they have better apps, maybe other people enjoy your scratch games more than the of apps of the person who was on TV;everyone has different opinions.

Um… I can make apps, too. It's not that hard. Find a good tutorial on Objective-C (if you can, I learned via lynda.com and found it amazingly simple and learned in like 12 hours). Then go to developer.apple.com in the iOS section, and find the tutorial on Hello World. It actually supplies more practical information that you'd think. And despite what most people seem to believe, you can just get Xcode off the Mac App Store.

I thought about XCode, but I'd need it for free :\
