Accounts cannot be deleted, I'm afraid. Just leave it, gathering dust in a corner, old and forgotten. It doesn't mind that you've moved on to a shiny new account, it is perfectly content sitting by watching activity going on on other accounts.
Or is it?

You can delete an account. On the "Contact us" page, you can email them giving a reason to delete it, and they will.

For the first time ever, Kileymeister is wrong.
Anyways, RedRocker227 is right.
Just click the "contact us" link at the bottom, if you're too lazy to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page click here.
Then use the option to delete your account, put your reason, etc.
And then you're done! Good luck!

ya, im not sure if you can delete your account. but i doubt it. Just ignore the account and at somepoint you might forget it. but do not stop scratching!

Lol, I have like eight accounts on Scratch. xD I just don't log in to them in hopes I'll forget them. They may be: Accounts filled with junk (2), accounts filled with nothing or like one bad project (3), or accounts filled with bad games or just...too many games (1). You'd think I'd forget them, but I don't. I remember each and every one of their passwords and they haunt me at night. o.o...About doaler4, it's true. I read somewhere on Scratch....or Scratch Wiki or something....that you can get an account deleted. Just contact the Scratch Team via email and *bing* account = determinated. x3 Oh, wait, you go to "contact us" first, like RedRocker227 said. :3

Just go down the bottom page, and click "contact us"
One there, just select the close an account option, tell them what you want, and send it
