That is the stuff I hate the most, because it's soooooo loud

you can "hate" whatever you want
i like it when im listening to bands who can actually play instruments
and when the vocalist can actually sing, and sing well
and i prefer the heavier/faster stuff

They're some of the reasons I like metal, too. As well as the fact that metal bands write their own songs. Being a pop star should be easy, because you get your songs written for you, and they can just autotune your voice. The only thing you need is good looks, really.

Some metal songs are written by people other than the band, like covers and certain songs. Also, sometimes the [removed] ones write their own. It really depends on the band. Plus, some of the more obscure/better pop-sounding bands (not the actual "popular" but just bands that have the same sort of sound) write their own music. Plus I think Taylor Swift does, but I'm not sure.

True. Just like with GNR, the first album was their best.

Off topic@ your sig: I have been changed from deep hatred of all rap to appreciation of some, but listening to it more(hockey locker room) I see that some people are good while others are REALLY bad.

I don't think they have their own subgenre

I wasn't saying that all metal bands write their own songs, and no pop singers write their own, just that the majority of the time that's true.

And yes, Taylor Swift does write her own songs. And records it. And produces it. Source: Taylor Swift obsessed sister  tongue
