Hi, I am a new Scratcher

Hello! I am a new scratcher. I have done other programming languages before and I wanted to go to a fun one. So that is why I came here.
I will soon be uploading projects. If you have tips, post em here. Thanks  big_smile

Re: Hi, I am a new Scratcher

I suggest that if you have any comments, and someone is rude, DON'T be rude back. No matter how much they make you angry. Just hit "flag comment as innapropriate" and just go to your ignore list, and type their username, and why you don't want to see tem. that way, you can't even view what that person posted! (even games)

Re: Hi, I am a new Scratcher

Scratch is much easier to program, and since you have programmed with those four, I'm sure scratch will be a snap. When I started, I only knew a bit of HTML, a bit of Java, and BASIC.

grrrr.... Alice.... I hate Alice, I loath it.... you can do nothing with it, however, HTML and Java are great (Java is amazing) and OOP I've heard of, but it has to be better than Alice and scratch

You can do way more in Alice than you can in scratch. HTML is useful only for webpages. Java is great but has a big learning curve. OOP is Object Oriented Programming and there are several languages that are object oriented.

Seriously though, don't bash Alice if you can't even use it properly.

Hi there! Welcome to SCRATCH! Considering your experience with other languages, I'm pretty sure you'll find SCRATCH fun and easy to work with  smile

There's a lot of tips just floating around the site. You can easily gain a lot of tips just from reading the sticky threads in different sections of the forums. And you can always ask around on the FAQ or troubleshooting section should you need any help. Have fun with SCRATCH!  big_smile

Re: Hi, I am a new Scratcher

Welcome to Scratch. Enjoy your stay.  big_smile

If you need help, try posting on the "All about Scratch" section, or use the search box, and search for tutorials of whatever you'd like. Also, check out my "Scratch for Dummies" (no offense; just a generic name) series, they might be useful too.  smile

Re: Hi, I am a new Scratcher

Hi. I'm new to the Scratch program. I have been using it for a university assignment. It is amazing to see all of the different projects you can create and share online, and talk about in the forums. This program would be excellent for small children to introduce them to interacting with users from around the world. Happy Scratching!!!

Re: Hi, I am a new Scratcher

Well if you have done HTML, Java Script, OOP (like me!) Scratch will be a breeze for you because it's interface is very easy to use.You just put blocks together to creates a script. It's as easy as that!

Re: Hi, I am a new Scratcher

I'm new here. Hi. I suddenly wanted to know everything about computers(don't ask me why), so my dad has been teaching me computer langages. So far, I know a little bit of Java and SQL.SQl doesn't do much, but it's fun anyway.
