Now, because Scratch is so slow, and many Scratch projects are only able to be run on the Flash Player ( Scratch Minecraft, 3D, etc ) I would like to have Remote Sensors put on the Flash Player so people can play projects that require Remote Sensors on their web-browser ( like my Chat.PY project, and future project Virtual Space ). I would like this to be done before Scratch 2.0 so those of us that have advanced projects like these that require fast updating can be run and played.
I believe this will also encourage multiplayer games to be created by those who already know another programming language and also encourage people to learn a new programming language so they can create their own multiplayer games. And once those are created, they can easily keep everyone using the same updated client.
Is it possible to get done sooner rather than later? You will be (should be) adding it anyways, so why not move it up the priority list?
By connecting Scratch to servers, users can create more blocks by adding the code to return the result of input, making it so you don't have to worry about getting Scratch 2.0 out as soon, since Scratcher's are creating their own blocks.

Wait, don't we have to mod the player then?
No, you would need to write another program to connect to the player. The suggestion, unless I don't get it, is that the player would allow this type of connection.

Would it be possible, on the web and stuff? Of course all of the concerned files would have to be online, but will Flash even allow this?
I have no experience with Actionscript whatsoever, so I'm completely un-knowledgeable

I've done this exact thing in the past, except with a standalone app versus directly in the flash player. With the help of documentation, It shouldn't take me to long to get a small prototype up and running. As to how I'll go about injecting code into the Flash player, however...

I think it would work, since it's possible to connect actionscript to scratch. I've never done it before, though.

flash supports network sockets. The scratch team could integrate it in five minutes.

I thought that Flash was sandboxed? I totally support but if the ST agreed it would still be a long while before it came about. What with all the database-end coding and the discussions about encryption, variable sharing etc.

If that's the case, the next step is to get this to the ST.
