E10+ makes sense, though.Still, it's a main theme and could be misleading to children as well.
Yeah.
My 8-year-old sister plays Spore.
Really, if you can handle a little violence, Spore should be fine. Personally, I've never payed too much attention to the reproduction thing. And they're aliens, so....yeah. They're different from us.
Yeah I think Spore is fine for all ages. I mean, sure you can kill other creatures, but games like Mario feature this.

My grandma saw us playing it and got mad at Dad for letting us play a game with those fighting-sounds.

It's the exact same in multiplayer, except for the fact that you play with other players.

Exactly, it is the parent's respectability to be aware of what their kid is spending his time with. I think most parents these day neglect that responsibility when it come to thing like video games and entertainment media in general.

Video games are distractions I don't think kids in general cannot handle right. They aren't really productive and are overall unnecessary. I think legitimately educational ones are nice, though, because they aren't a complete waste. Complete-wastes of distractions don't do any good, I'd think, to a developing mind
Adults have reason for wanting distractions
Problem solving (Any game where problems arise)
Creativity (Most open-ended games)
Architecture (Minecraft)
Hand-Eye Coordination (Any game with buttons)
Logic And Reasoning (When doing stuff like leveling up a character and choosing skills)
And to response to some later post, I don't think ANYONE goes "I can use this skill later on in life" when learning anything. I definitely don't.

Video games can teach you problem solving skills :III
Eh, sometimes, but usually not in a way that will ever apply to anything someone is going to use in their life.
And I don't think you start up a video game thinking "LOL im gonna take this knowledge from this game and applly it to reel lif lol"
But, but those people should be ashamed to call their recommendations games.
EDIT: 2 pages didn't notice. The second page is much better in suggesting games.

I really, really hate hand-eye coordination. I have something in my brain that makes my hand-eye coordination off-key.
It's pretty annoying.

I have played the goriest games ever made, where people get impaled, shot, burned, and torn apart. But I'm disturbed by Mortal Kombat. This should tell you something.

It's mostly the X-ray moves and fatalities from the new one.
It's gruesome, and this coming from a fan of Left 4 Dead.
