The Legend of Zelda (A Revolutionary Scratch Movie)

After playing Skyward Sword, I got inspired to make a Scratch movie based off The Legend of Zelda. I just thought it would be really cool to make a revolutionary kind of Scratch movie, to be released in parts. It'd be this kind of action-adventure movie; mostly drama, maybe a few jokes here and there.

I hope to make my idea possible; more details are mainly in the job descriptions below.  big_smile

Director: All4one (The person who will oversee the whole production and take care of all things that need to be taken care of.)

Artist #1: bananaman114 (Now, this job is very critical. I'm looking for experienced artists; at least ones that can make frame-changing look smooth, and good shading, too. I'm hoping for the art in this movie to be really revolutionary for Scratch.)

Artist #2: (Not hiring people in this area at the moment.) (If Artist #1 feels they need an extra hand helping them out, then I will start hiring for an Artist #2. If you wish to be Artist #2, you must have all the requirements that are mandatory for Artist #1.)

Main Story Writer: maxdoss (This is not the person who writes the script. Rather, this is the person who comes up with the main plot of the movie. Since I'm not that experienced with Zelda storylines, I would prefer if somebody else would take this job. I need somebody who is very experienced with at least most of the storylines in the Zelda games. When submitting, please come up with the main idea, how it begins, what happens in the middle, and what happens at the end.)

Script Writer #1: All4one (Self-explanatory.  tongue )

Script Writer #2: GameGuy64 (Self-explanatory.  tongue )

Script Writer #3: fire219 (Self explanatory.  tongue )

Programming: (This is the person who will put everything together in a Scratch project, and, therefore, be the poster of the project. Must be an advanced Scratch programmer, and know how to program smooth Scratch animations.)

Voice Actors: (Once we come up with all the characters, I will start holding auditions for voice actors.)

Re: The Legend of Zelda (A Revolutionary Scratch Movie)

2 things:

1. Zelda never has voice actors so you should make text boxes instead, like the games.

2. I'd like to be Main story director.

I know a ton about zelda, so i would be a real aid to you.

I am very familiar with story plots but I've only been playing Zelda games for a few months... I know a lot of the plots but I don't know if I'll be a big help... everything I try to do, I suck *hangs head in shame*

Re: The Legend of Zelda (A Revolutionary Scratch Movie)

I could be quite good at writing the script (not the programming). I've played OoT and Skyward Sword so I could create a good story line.

Welcome to the team! And for some reason I really want to do voice actors, I'm kind of interested in being a casting director of sorts.  tongue

Actually, I'll hold a poll on if I should have voice actors or text boxes.

Sure, you can program, but may I see some sample art to see if you could be a fitting artist?

Ok, but the script writer doesn't actually write the story, they just write the lines that go with the story. Just wanted to tell you that, just in case.

Well, you would be a good main story director, but maxdoss already holds that position. Unless you're interested in working alongside him?

Eh... As long as I can help, that's fine.

EDIT: Or I could do some voice acting although I have a British accent is that fine?

Yeah, is your voice young-sounding? I can try to come up with a character for you.

I don't know why, but I can alter my voice at will. I can have it sound like Ganon's to Zelda's... oh that's not good. Normally though, yeah it does sound young.

Thanks! And even if the poll shows that we want text boxes, we would still need voice actors to do the noises the characters make instead of talking ( like in the games ).

I could do either, I don't mind which. But I'll go for the actual script writer (not director) I'll let maxdoss do that.

Actually Zelda does have voice actors; who else would be making those grunting sounds whenever you swing a sword or get punched?

Ok. Right now, we just have to wait for maxdoss to come up with a story. Take your time, Max. ^_^

Yeah, I'll look up the plot of the first game on Wikipedia? We could do a whole series out of that, doing movies out of each game.

It all depends on what the story is. If it is based on, for example, one of the GBA games or Ocarina of Time, they will be children. But if it was based on the Wii games they will be adults.
