mres stands for Mitchel Resnick.
Don't take this as truth, but I'm pretty sure Andrés created the site as part of a MIT study (he is/was a student there), under the supervision of Mitchel Resnick who is (this is a guess) a guy at MIT.

I would have to say Sparks, hes always kind, always patient, and he makes great games and great things in advanced Topics especially!

Every Scratcher is equal.
But some Scratchers are more equal than others.
And I would say the best kind of Scratcher is the kind that few hear about, but can make an enjoyable and dynamic project. The kind that you stumble upon every now and then, see they've made something good, give 'em a love it, and move on.

As kileymeister said, every Scratcher is equal. Some have great skills and use them but simply don't get enough popularity. Other Scratchers have those skills but never use them in a good way, or use them in a good way but get banned for their bad behavior. Scratchers who may not have good skills when it comes to making projects make up for that by being positive and kind towards the community. Those people I look up to as their good attitude can earn them great rewards.
