App Inventor Moves to MIT, Why Not Combine With Scratch?

I was thinking that since Google App Inventor was moved to MIT, why doesn't MIT just combine that project with Scratch considering both are Block-based programming? Scratch projects could then be ported to Android also, and can become more general-purpose and used professionally. I know that both are programmed in different languages, and have different functions, but Scratch is supposedly being completely reprogrammed into Flash anyway, so Google App Inventor could be added to the design.

Hm... It's an okay idea.

Just because MIT has two different projects similar to each other, does not mean the same people are working together and want to combine projects. And since scratch will be in flash, it'll already run on androids. See, you can't just mix two digital projects like you mix to drinks or potions. It takes a lot of work, and since the scratch team is already busy with 2.0, they'll be far to busy to combine it with another project. Remember, things aren't just "poof" and they're done. They require a lot of work.

I know Scratch will run on Android, but will it be able to access bluetooth like App Inventor? Will it be able to take pictures with the users camera? It would be great to combine the two because it adds more possibilities. I know that the team that is working on App Inventor helped develop Scratch.
