Some questions from a new member!

I have some questions about scratch. I hope someone can take their time and answer these  questions.

1) Is there any rules against using copyrighted music in a project that will be uploaded?

2) Is there anyway possible to upload a project that is more than 10MB without sacrificing anything?

3) To what level of violence is allowed in a project?

4) is there any program or tool that is compatible and can be used in scratch?

5) is there any way to have data saving system or online interaction between players in scratch?

6) What is one of the most complicated game in scratch other than chess?

7) How do you make your project known to the community?

Thank you if answered the questions or at least tried to.  smile

Re: Some questions from a new member!

1. Ehh, it's touchy. You could claim Fair Use since it's an educational site, but you have to be careful about that. Depends on whether or not you want to take the risk.

2. Leave the box checked to compress sounds/images when you upload the project. If it's still too big, then something has to go.

3. It should be appropriate for all ages. Like blood everywhere is a bad idea, but if it isn't realistic, you should be OK. It kind of is case by case though.

4. Can you just be a little more specific?

5. You can try using Mesh, but that's a little bit different from what you're probably thinking of. More on Mesh here.

6. To make or to play

7. There's a lot of different ways. The easiest way is to post ads in the Show and Tell forum, but there's a lot more you can do too. Read this for even more ways if you like.

Hope this helps!  smile

4. A mod or a program that I can use to make scripts, something like that

6. I am talking about a game that was very difficult to make and can be downloaded.
I want to learn more about scratch.

Thanks for your answers. I appreciate it.

Re: Some questions from a new member!

No, but it says in the Community Guidelines that you are supposed to give credit from where you got the sound/music.

2) Is there anyway possible to upload a project that is more than 10MB without sacrificing anything? Hm, I haven't thought this one through.  hmm

3) To what level of violence is allowed in a project? Some things that are not allowed are cuss words, inappropriate music/drawings, and I think blood is not encouraged, but allowed. Just not TOO violent, because there are little kids on here.

4) is there any program or tool that is compatible and can be used in scratch? Not that I know.

5) is there any way to have data saving system or online interaction between players in scratch? Oh yes, I've seen one. But it had a applet running with it.

6) What is one of the most complicated game in scratch other than chess? Probably blowling. Idk.  hmm

7) How do you make your project known to the community? Advertise it in the Show And Tell forum.

Hope this answered all your questions!  smile
