Actually, this is false. People get upgraded after six hours of total playtime on the server. If you think you have six hours, you're supposed to tell an admin or mod.
And anyways, I've upgraded several people to trusted in the past couple of days.

nobody will want to play chutes since you have a large chance of dying
nor will they want to play spleef
nor will they want to play pvp
nor will they want to play parkour over a lake of lava
nor will they want to partake in MELLEN BATTLES
nor will they want to do anything else that's actually fun
just turn off the plugin that gives you money for killing mobs
problem solved.
