(I'm back on Miscellaneous. I guess I was overreacting a little.)
I saw it twice. Friday with my dad. Saturday with my friend. Best. Movie. Ever. I even made a locker poster for it.
Who else saw it and loved it? (If you didn't, leave the thread.)

I want to see it! It looks really interesting.
I've seen the trailer, and this is my favorite part of the trailer:
Adult guy(dunno his name, sorry): We'll light a wee fire.
Tintin: On a boat?!
*BOOM*

Capt. Haddock. He's an old drunk.

Mneh, it was okay. The trailers I saw had all the action in, yet when I sat through the movie, the action was predictable and far and few. The animation quality was superb, however :3

Is his accent Scottish? I couldn't quite tell from the trailers, but that's what it sounded like, to me.

We rarely ever go
It's on the other side of town
the bus ride is 2 hours to get there
and it's 20$
so that's 40$ for two people
plus snacks
50$
I envy those who see movies in theatres

We either buy the DVD, or we see it in theatres but like we don't go to the theatres often

So what were your favorite parts?
I liked when Tintin was chasing them on a motorcycle and drove right by them and stole their scrolls and said, "I'll take that, thank you!"
My dad is convinced that Tintin is twelve. In that case, he's twelve and he:
-Lives alone
-Takes care of a dog
-Writes for a newspaper
-Knows that whiskey doesn't put out a fire
-Operates a radio transmitter
-Shoots a gun
-Drives a motorcycle
-Pilots a seaplane
-Faces multiple death threats
-Wears penny loafers
And this doesn't happen in the movie, but in one of the comic books, he accidentaly gets drunk.

He looks more like, maybe, fifteen to me.

Still, that's a lot for a guy his age to do.
He looks a little more twelve in the comic books.
EDIT: Wikipedia says that Herge (the creator) says he thought of Tintin as 14 or 15 in the comic, but "let's say that he's 17." Well, that's settled.

I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be at least 18...that being said, he does look like he's twelve. I saw the movie and it was awesome! And an interesting little detail: Spielberg looks pretty similar to the villain.

I liked that part too, especially when Tintin swings in out of nowhere and snatches the scrolls and Haddock says, "Thundering typhoons, nobody takes my ship."

All the reviews I've read have been really negative. They say Alph-Art succeeded. So, I'm not gonna see it. Also, it's been out ages.

As far as I know and from the comics I read, he's 17 or 18.
