Other animals eat meat because they need it to survive, whereas humans could get by just fine without it.
And I'd hardly say it's "killing the plant". Plants don't have brains or anything, so they're not even alive in the same way that we are.

Wrong, looking at the human's body we were made to eat meat, we have the teeth needed to rip through flesh, if we were made to eat vegetables we would have mainly molars. Some people eat meat, some people eat vegetables, no answer is wrong, meat is there for us to eat, same as vegetables.

But the nutrients humans get from eating meat, they can easily get from other foods as well.
And I read an interesting stat somewhere that vegetarians visit hospitals 32% less than meat eaters.

There's no law against eating meat and there never should be, unless an animal is going to make a real contribution to the world instead of eating grass and excreting everywhere I will slaughter and skin it for food and fur.
