I feel like Harry Potter. When I was really young (2 or 3), I was on holiday in Spain and messing about in the water. I just saw a bluebottle jellyfish float by me. Didn't sting me, it just floated by.

I've never seen one with a stinger but several stingerless ones wash up all the time. Me and my friend found a stingerless purple one, which would presumably be a Man-o-war.
