I am currently working on a rank system. Based off this:

Guest - Default Group
Member - Awarded for being whitelisted on our forum.
Regular - Awarded after the admin and mods know you well enough to say that you aren't a griefer, and can be trusted
VIP - Donators (any amount!)
Moderator - You get this rank by being elected.
Admin - Only given to people I can fully trust.
Host - You host the server!
Owner - You own the server = gbear605!

I need help working on the system and deciding which permissions to give which ranks. All input is appreciated. Please help!

Gbear, why is everyone complaining that the server's down while I'm sleeping? Does teamviewer not work now or something?

Hmm... well guests should only be able to walk around and talk, so no building. Then members are given regular permissions. Regulars should get something extra... idk what. Moderators can do basic things such as giving warnings and temp bans (with a maximum length of some sort). Admins, Hosts, and Owners get same permissions and can give permanent bans.

That's the base of what it should be in my opinion. Then additional things can be added. smile

EDIT: It's probably obvious, but the higher the rank you are, the more important your decision is as to what features should be added/removed from the server.

Having Admin, Host and Owner is sort of pointless. Admin has highest privileges, so technically, or rather, logically no ranks should be above that. Why don't you have an extra prefix for those special people. Like:
gbear = [Admin][Owner]gbear
nerve = [Admin][Host]nervesplitter
regular admin = [Admin]Qaz
etc, etc.

Which makes it hard to read anything.

I think they should have their individual names [Owner], [Host], and [Admin] as having two would take up too much space, but I agree that they should all be mostly equal privileges.

How about just admin and gbear gets "[Owner]gbear605" which kind of implies admin. Nerve and Qaz will get just admin.

Right now, though, Minecraft won't launch and I don't know what's wrong.

I updated Java to try and run Wurm though (Doesn't work, terribly low FPS), so that might be it.

For Wurm, change some settings. For minecraft, download a new launcher.

Ok guys, cavaliers65 is from Wurm, me and him did some raids on the PvP server so if you don't get what we're talking about then guess it's that.

Walt, you've been added.

Drboomboom is also added, I don't know where he's from, he said he was on the old server, but I don't know wether he means Wurm or us.

Station 1 - Spawn
An admin would have to do this because of spawn protection, but it would be railway access in or near spawn.

Station 2 - River St.
This would be on the corner between River St. and the (future) WD Road. (WermbleDonia Road :p)

Station 3 - Wermbledonia
This is the one already built by FroggyFreak.

Do I get permission to build it?
