Well. I can get the forum up by tomorrow. But the website will take longer.

Okay, waiting 'till tomorrow isn't bad  tongue

I'm relearning Lazy Sunday Jam and Gone, hopefully I can record them today.

EDIT: Random idea. Maybe I could add some orchestral arrangements on the last chorus of Gone. Not sure if it'd sound good, but I think it might work if done well, and if I keep it subtle.

Another idea, I think the song overall would sound better if all the "bass solo" parts were played by Lellowsfuzz on the piano instead. I'm not much of a bass soloist  tongue  I'll rearrange the song now.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 2

Since I'm at a friends house and I have internet, I've installed a forum for use.

Fluxbb 1.4.7.

We need a good slogan.
I like: Music by scratchers, for scratchers. But if we were ever expanding to the public, it would not really work...

Do you guys have any ideas for slogans?

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 2

You don't want realism?! Well, why didn't you say so?

There's a couple of different approaches I can take. I can do some toon shading and such, or I can change it in post-processing. I'll experiment.

(By the way, the ice cubes have been added. They look pretty good.  big_smile )

Awesome. Hows my penguin render coming?

Can we have screenshots as you go along?

So... that took about two minutes to fix up, but I figure I shouldn't invest a ton of time into it until I know what style you're going for.

The penguin will be ready later.  mad

No.  tongue  That looks much worse... liked the old one.

Lets see what technoguyx thinks first though.

Well the penguin's kind of our mascot already, so that would be great.

That looks decent considering it's a quick fix.  tongue  I would say maybe add a little less of the effect, I can't really make out some stuff on the pic. But that might be not necessary, considering we need to crop it later.

Working on another instrumental called Clockwork! It has tempo changes, so it might be a little hard to play.

To be honest, I liked the reallooking one better.

Wasn't DIY's original supposed to be realistic as well?

I've done literally no work on Reload recently. It probably won't be done for a while.  hmm
I just noticed that I'm one of the only people in the band who doesn't have something FC-related in my sig. Instead, I have something Tintin-movie-related.  tongue
@Lellowsfuzz: Hate to rain on your parade, but I think we're doing enough instrumentals. Like you, I don't like to be excluded.

Technoguyx, could you perhaps add a violin part to Gone? Gone sounds like a sad song, which would fit with a nice violin background.

Re: Frozen Coco: Take 2

Like I mentioned, I intend to experiment with some orchestral arrangements (done with VSTs) on Gone - perhaps you could play a "solo violin" part?

Though I haven't checked Lellowsfuzz's song out yet, I kinda agree with designer45 - 2 instrumentals should be enough.

Hey guys, I think we should start on Lazy Sunday Jam. Now that I think about it, I don't really like the piano part I made for it. Could someone else maybe make one?

Okay, good.
Also, doesn't LSJ count as an instrumental?

Ah. Perhaps. I've added 1 violin line(I could mix multiple if needed.)
Here's the same with my added violin instrument: http://www.noteflight.com/scores/view/a … ec17f308bc

If you listen to the chorus, it might not sound as harmonized, but that's just because the vocals are not actually vocals, but notes played by noteflight. I've tried it with singing and violin and it sounds matched.

If you want, you could add more orchestral parts as well.

Also, forums are up, other parts of website isn't done yet: LINK

Seems like I don't have permission to view the score  hmm

@Lellowsfuzz, there are some nice parts on Clockwork, but the 16th note runs on the bass might be too hard for me, and some of the drum beats too hard for jslomba. I'd rather just continue composing the other instrumental, Fall.

Oh I see.  tongue

I added piano and violin to Gone, how's it? The violin is in the last 2 choruses, subtle and simple on the first one, and then gets a bit more complex on the last one.

@technoguyx: What do you mean by choppy SketchUp image? You can sharpen it if you want to.

Also, I added a cool neon effect to my cover. See if you like it:

Thanks for the criticism locker! I value your opinion. The text isn't included yet because I wanted to finalize the image before incorporating it, but all the same it's good to know that it is important. I did, of course, add the depth of field (background blur) on purpose, to add emphasis to the elements on the coffee table. Do you think it distracts? Let me know.  smile

Yeah tbh, it does kinda distract the viewer. It'll be nice if you could adjust it, and like techno said, the 3d rendered background doesn't quite suit an album cover. Keep trying on these aspects and I'm sure it will turn out well!  smile
