For my upcoming project, I planned to use a different font from the ones that are installed already on my computer. So, I went to the most reliable source for fonts I could find and downloaded one. However, when I go to try and use it on Scratch 1.3.1, it never shows it in the font combo-box when I try to edit or create a new sprite.
How can I fix this?

(This only works for Windows; I've never used a Mac)
Did you install the font to the Windows Fonts folder? Go to Control Panel > Fonts and click File at the top, then Install New Font. Then just browse to wherever the font file is, select it and click OK.

I didn't even know you could add fonts into scratch. Wow.

You can't. But you can download fonts for use in Scratch other than what is installed on your system already. However, these fonts can be used for all other programs that involve fonts too.
