Is $10/year a good price for a domain name?

I want to buy a domain name (.com, but I'm not telling what, in case someone takes it ^^).
I found a service that sold it for $10/year for 2-10 years (LuckyRegister.com). I want to get my domain really cheaply, but I want a real domain, not a subdomain or directory. Is this a good price? Can you recommend a seller for less?

Also, I am planning on doing FTP and management with 000webhost. Is this a good choice, or would I be save a lot of trouble by paying? Or, could you recommend a free webhost that's better?

Thanks!

Yeah. Usually, the cheap ones are about 60$ a year (5 bucks a month.)

Thanks! I'll try to convince my parents with this info. And the fact that I originally wanted a premium domain, for +$2500/year...

Anyone know some other regular prices, also, so I can push my parents in the right direction.
EDIT: Thanks wmays.  big_smile

Blue Host is really good. You can have your money back anytime. Best of all, it only costs $4.95 a month.

DreamHost is the host I use. It works great, and my domain name only costs $10 per year too. Not sure about the web hosting cost, though.

Yawn.

LOL on NameCheap the domain I wanted was for $9.98, and on LuckyRegister it was $9.99. XD But, LuckyRegister seems to be having a sale, and it's only $8.49.  big_smile

Yeah? It seems to have a very small website, with very little information there.  neutral

Nope. Use godaddy. It's best. They have it at $9.99

smile

And I used 000webhost for 3 years. No problems for me.

Thanks for your help guys, but I've gone with what I originally planned.
My website will be running soon, but in a beta mode. It will be typeint.com, and will be used for typing internationally: in other languages and character sets.  smile
