Nightskating

Yesterday, on New Years Eve, me and my friends started skateboarding around in the night. Freaking awesome. We started skating around 20:00 and stopped when the New Years Party my parents had with their friends ended at 02:15. Believe it or not this isn't even our longest skate session. But anyway, have you ever done something like this?

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.

Re: Nightskating

We tried to play volleyball in a gym once, with a glow-in-the-dark volleyball.  It really didn't work at all.  You have like zero depth perception when the light is low.  Very short volleys  smile

Another low-light adventure that was a lot more fun happened when I was a kid.  The ice on top of the snow had gotten thick enough so that we could ice skate on top of it.  So we went out one night and spent a couple of hours skating on the hills in our back pasture.  The speeds were amazing.  The only downside was if you fell, you tended to crash through the ice into the snow below and all the ice shards could cut you up a bit.   Still, it was worth it.

Re: Nightskating

In Minnesota we had a full-sized outdoor hockey rink, where we had a few practices in the middle of e night because there was something wrong with one of the three rinks that we had. I almost froze my toes off  tongue
