No. Maybe the Mayans were too lazy to complete the calendar. Say that it's Dec. 21st 2012 and do you think that world will just "end" like that!? Maybe there will be a natural disaster, but that is unpredictable.
the ST is very nice to have around, but this decision is outrageous. This URL links to an image, BTW. (and I accidentally wrote Y NO U instead of Y U NO.)

Lolno. The Mayans have multiple calendars, (i think this is their last one.) in which they celebrate the ends of them.

You people do know the Mayans did not predict it would be the end of the world, right? They never mention that, ever. It's simply the end of one era and the start of another.
Have you ever tried building a calendar that stretches on for eternity? A bit difficult, especially with the Spaniards.

They stop making calendars. Somehow, people interpret that as a warning that the world will end.
For all we know, they could've just run out of paper or something
