Please pass this on to people that are quitting scratch. It may change their minds.
You don't HAVE to use Scratch.
If you have decided that you've just got bored of it, read no further.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do on the internet in the future.
It's no problem and completely understandable. You shouldn't think you have to use Scratch because you've been using it since Scratch started, or you have loads of fans or whatever. It's not that important.
But...
If you have decided that you're NOT GOOD ENOUGH, listen up.
You don't HAVE to be a great programmer, artist, whatever.
You don't HAVE to be popular.
Just be yourself. use what you are good at to express yourself in your projects.
It may be stickmen. But some of the projects that get loads of views are stickmen. They're worth a look at.
The Scratch Team have put in loads of ready-made stuff, use it.
If you decide that you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO be popular, just use the forums more often. Advertise projects in the Show and Tell forums. Take an active part in Scratch society.
If you can't get popular, don't worry about it! I mean, look at my projects. They don't get many comments, but they don't get many hate comments either, so I'm happy. I don't CARE if people don't like my projects. If I did, I'd have quit long ago. I get a kick out of making my own projects and being able to say that I made them myself. Because that is what scratch is about.
Scratch is constantly growing and becoming more interesting. Even if you decide that you don't want to MAKE projects, please come and take an active part anyway. Because it is unique. It's not like other sites, it's made by YOU, the Scratch community. it is a privilege to be a part of. Don't throw that privilege away.

Please don't joke about this, it is a serious matter! People all over scratch are quitting for the wrong reasons and it is a waste of their abilities.

It's their choice as to whether or not they want to quit though.

I agree.
When I stopped making projects 2 years ago, I left Scratch for a LONG time.
(I was on the forums, but not very active)
A while later...
I started coming on to the forums occasionally but I just kept coming and leaving. I didn't really come back till I started making projects again.

Ah quitting. An issue that has plagued Scratch since it began. It's their choice. Respect it and move on.

Actually, no I didn't.
I knew there'd be some hidden text, as there was a "mysterious" empty line

In fact, I thought 'don't throw that privilege away.' would have made you sniffle a bit. But my powers of persuasion are weakening.

It's like the end of the world in 21/12/12. People know it's not going to happen, so why take it seriously?

COMMENCE THE SOBBING.
But yeah, I don't plan on quitting until I go to college. Maybe even not then.

I feel the need to quit; the ST seems to be TRYING to get to me by removing all this stuff, I lack entertainment from Scratch too and the boys in my grade think I'm an insane know-it-all nerd because of Scratch, so goodbye.Seriously, I'm leaving whilst not leaving
