I think it was mainly the noise we both made that was funny XD

American people always sound so jolly 

British accents are cool.  My dad says he would guess that American accents are hard and sharp.  I think British accents are kind of smooth-sounding.  They're cool.

That's why I find the English accent boring though.
American's always have loads of expression and stuff in their voices, but British accents are only really soothing because it's boring. It's just too plain.

Well, for someone who hears American accents all the time, British accents are cool.

I wouldn't say "sharp" though.
I don't know how to describe it, but it's definitely not sharp.

Well, I forget the exact way he said his guess was. 
I do remember he compared it to German.

Wow, it sounds nothing like German, in my opinion.
I guess everyone hears things in different ways though.
I always imagine German people as having like, a really deep, monotone voice, and then American's as having loads of expression and sounding really jolly 

I think Dad meant in the way that the language German is kind of harsh and hard-sounding.
But he was just guessing.
