I never watch dubs when there is a sub, but maybe that's because I'm a fast reader and can concentrate on the action and what the people are saying.

I dont like the drawing style (it annoys me, probably because its so poular), and hearing little girls with animal ears yelling in Japanese is not my idea of a good time.

That's generalization. Lots of anime isn't shallow or stupid, as long as you look for it. Also, not liking stories because of the art style is like disliking stuff written around Shakespeare because the words are spelled weird and it's too popular.

Wow, you really take things for first glance, don't you? How about you actually watch real anime, like Elfen Lied, Death Note, or Dragon Ball Z? You'll have an entirely new look on what anime really is.
