I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I'll bet a whole bunch of you out there are too. Here are my opinions about Star Wars. I'll go down what I thought of each movie.
The Phantom Menace [2/5 stars] - This movie was...okay. It's special effects were pretty good, but they were CGI, unlike the original movies. The story wasn't too good. I wasn't as enthralled by it as the originals. Plus, Jar Jar Binks just killed it for me.
Attack of the Clones [1/5 stars] - Hm...what can I say that's positive about Attack of the Clones? Nothing except some of the action scenes and visual effects. The dialogue was cheesy, there were too many love scenes between Anakin and Padme, and there wasn't much that really interested me.
Revenge of the Sith [4/5 stars] - Now this was a pretty awesome movie. I liked the effects a lot, I really liked the storyline of how Darth Vader came to be, continuing in smoothly with the first film (in release order). Needless to say, Revenge of the Sith was an enjoyable ride.
Star Wars (1977) [5/5 stars] - This...this movie is the reason that people even go to movie theaters. It's effects were spectacular for its time, and the storyline was immersive and the characters were memorable and as beloved as today. That's all there is to say.
The Empire Strikes Back [5/5 stars] - This entry in the saga is just too amazing for words. From the opening half-hour on the icy world of Hoth, and the swampy atmospheric Dagobah, the effects, the story, and just everything about it is great. Plus, it introduced Lando Calrissian, who's one of my favorite Star Wars characters.
Return of the Jedi [4/5 stars] - I'll have to admit, this was probably the weakest movie of the original trilogy. But that doesn't stop it from being awesome. I liked the whole movie from beginning to end. The exciting opening act with Jabba the Hutt and the sarlacc pit, and the climactic Battle of Endor, and the edge-of-your-seat final confrontation with Luke and Darth avader (and the Emperor) all kept me gripped by this movie. A thrilling finale to some of the greatest movies ever made.
So there's my full opinion on each Star Wars movie. You can discuss about them, or give your own rankings. Also, you can talk about the abominal "enhancements" made to the countless re-releases and special editions of the glorious original trilogy.

I've watched Star Wars #4-6. They're great.

"NOOOOOOO!"Actually, the line is: "No...I am your father."
A lot of people get that wrong.
I haven't watched it in a while.
I just remember it freaked Luke out. A LOT.
My favorite was #6.

Sequels? You mean the original trilogy, right?
There are no sequels. Only the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy.

What I could consider the "sequel" trilogy to the original trilogy is three books called the Thrawn Trilogy, written by Timothy Zahn. I'm reading the first book, Heir to the Empire, right now, and it's awesome.

The Clone Wars are pretty good. And the three later episodes were all 5/5 and most of the beginning ones were just ok...

I used to be into star wars, but I don't like it now. But I saw every episode like 10 times and read the books so now I understand all those robot chicken parodies and stuff.

The prequel is pretty much garbage. Annoying Jar Jar Binks, the ending to PM is Deus Ex Machina (with no knowledge of flying Anakin saves the day by doing so >.>), Attack of the Clones is a freaking love story trying to be in an action series and the only good part is Yoda going all boss against Dooku , and Revenge of the Sith is at least miles better than the first two but it's only about 3 stars to me.
The Trilogy is very good though.
And I love the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO even though it's even further back than the prequels. It's good because George Lucas didn't have creative say.
Maybe if George wants to make another movie they should cut the budget down to the first ones budget (which was minuscule, which is why some droids were trash cans) so he can't do the stuff he did to the prequel.
Oh yeah, and rerelease all the movies in their original version (or at least without the CGI and Greedo shot and stuff).
My thoughts.

Wow, my dad is a Star Wars fan as well and you basically stated his entire opinion in a few concise paragraphs!!!!
I, too am a diehard Star Wars fan (sorry, Trekkies.) Yeah, I wholeheartedly agreed with everything you said. I think my favorite character is probably Wicket. My favorite creature? Tauntauns. My dad has all the original figures and stuff. It's pretty awesome
