Er, my forums. A few guys named [removed], you may heard of them as bad boys. [removed] is even on there too so yeah, a bunch of refugees from this place is on my forums. So I get a BUNCH of negative stuff about this place. I kinda agree, poor Inetmaster, he was a good influence, decent programmer and one of the really good people on this forums.
Good influance?
whatever
and yeah I know ssos
It's not dying it's just up to it's usual weirdness.

Wierdness? Well if it keeps up there won't even be a Scratch. Happy to be back to the same dying place I try to keep running.

I'm pretty sure the Misc. forums aren't all of Scratch.

Misc is the backbone of all things fun on this site. Without a backbone, your dead. *munchs on popcorn*

Excuse me?
Community Stats:
969,193 registered members,
286,839 project creators,
2,239,573 projects. That's a lot of Scratch-ing!
Where's the dying in this?
http://stats.scratch.mit.edu
Check out the graphs. The usage ones are increasing curves.
Nothing is dying, it's just the forums that are filled with negativity. They still get loads of posts and topics per day.
My topic that was posted today has already sunk to around page 2 or 3.

in all honesty the misc forums may be the least important part of scratch...

Well, we all have our opinions but don't all the "talk" and fun stuff happen on Misc? I do believe the neck of the forums is the forums itself but the backbone is misc. The head is the main site and the arms are the TBG's. But anyone, lets not get into health and parts, now I do believe this is a true turn. I ask you all this question.
How does a man live without his backbone?

it obviously isnt the backbone, scratch went on just fine as a programming site before misc, and the majority of scratchers operate on the main site, not misc and not the forums

Stop making it worse.
I feel that it was the troll attacks and the image tags being rendered useless after which caused people to think twice before opening up the forums. There's been no fun without images then people saying they're dying and all of this after Christmas, it's kind of depressing really.
How is saying that making anything worse?

Good luck with that man
and the forums aren't suddenly going to dissapear because of a couple of unfortunate events
just like your backbone won't just dissapear if I start cutting your back
don't take that as a threat or as violent or anything I jsut wanted to relate it to what you were saying

Denying things are we? Wow, just admit it THE CHANCES of the forums survival are at currently 89%, an 11% drop is a BIG DROP if you don't realize. 11 out of 100 chance the forums dying leads to the ultamite destruction and un-organization of the main site and WABLAM! Scratch had a happy 4-5 years but it died! Anyway, that is the beginning of the end of the forums folks.

um heres an idea
first off stop making up dumb statistics from the back of your head, they arent at all true
second i think you are just trying to compensate for the fact that scratch is more popular than your "forums" by "predicting" its demise
third- without the misc forums, neither the forums as a whole nor the site itself will be "destroyed", some scratchers will leave, yes, but an insignificant number compared to the community as a whole

Sevendytwentytwelve. LOL
----------------
The forums have a chance of recovery. Small, but still there.
We jsut need to be mature about things and go with the flow. I mean like poop happens but it's been 4-5 years and since when has scratch NOT bounced back
if they are noobs now they will mature
What's really that wrong with the forums as they are now? Something worth talking about is always happening, as far as I know

Where are you getting the numbers from?
Save for the last incident, data from the forums suggest that reports are either staying steady or at a decline, which suggests that the ratio of bad incidences on the forums is better than what it was in the past.

You do like to be in absolute control of everything don't you.
The end of Scratch isn't going to happen anytime soon
and uh
if I am correct
was it not one of your "friend" on swell that is the reason for some of this?
This little lapse of disabled images and a possible death will all be lost in the dust to a new wave of scratch normality until something new happens
It's always this way
