I feel like we're entering a type of great scratch depression. I mean, no [img] tags, the troll attacks, and now all this stuff about -iNet-. Scratch feels like it's hitting a VERY low point in its history.

Was that when the BIG troll attack happened?

I would more or less agree with you. But, if Scratch is a bit depressed right now, what's the best way to overcome it?
Instead of giving up and posting like this, let's think positive and make a change. Scratchers have control on weather it sinks or floats, let's make sure it keeps floating.

Yea.
I would feel bad if iNet's story was true though...

Yes, I was about to post something like that. In fact, I actually have a quote from cheddargirl, from when I interviewed her.
"Well, I guess I could conclude this interview with a fave saying of mine, 'The power of remarkable change is in our hands.' The Scratch community, like any other online community, has its ups and downs. Each and every one of us has the ability to move Scratch in either a positive or a negative direction. So let's use our power to change to move Scratch in a positive direction!" - cheddargirl

For the [img] tag thing: Let's just hang in there. We have that program that converts images to text, right? And we can still link to pictures. Plus, the forums will load faster. The ST are smart people. They'll probably find a way to fix this.
For the trolls: Nothing we can do about it. Just be happy it's over.
For the dying thing: Well, none of us know the truth or not, so let's just stop thinking about it. The topic is closed, anyway.

Well, look on the bright side.
We've found ways to bypass the [img] block.
iNet isn't going to die.
It's the Christmas break, so we can spend more time online.
Party time? C; at least a party might cheer everyone up.

We must be nearing 2.0.
