Yes, Watch Elfen Lied and Death Note.
However, I must warn you that Elfen Lied is highly inappropriate for any age below 18 (Blood, gore, nudity). But there is just no way I'll ever be able to express how beautiful it is.

That really isn't it at all, Unless you're talking about kid animes, like Beyblade or Yu-Gi-Oh.
If you'd watch real anime, like Elfen Lied or Death Note, I doubt you'd say the same. Also, shows like Pokemon have new episodes that are scheduled to come out every week, so the graphics aren't really even that good.
Anyway, My favorite anime would be Elfen Lied by far. Next, would be Death Note, then Dragon Ball Z, then Sonic X, and then Pokemon.

I'm fine with gory stuff, I once drew a picture of a cat with its heart ripped out 030
