Okay, so I think MLP:FiM is girly, and it kinda looks stupid. Nerve thinks it is good and wants to prove to me that it is not girly and a good show. So, I am about to watch the first episode, and once I do, I will post my thoughts here.

My Thoughts After First Episode(Coming in 30 minutes):
Okay, now that I've watched the first episode, I can say I dislike it. Not because it is going more a female audience while I'm a male, but because I find it kind of dumb. There's not much interesting stuff, and I find it kind of kiddy.

The first episode needs to be watched with the second, but curiousity may do that for you.

i do not and i never did believe in the idea of things being "girly" or "boyish"
since i was in diapers i played with toys/games, watched shows, and decorated my room with items commonly marketed towards boys in particular, girls in particular, and no gender in particular and i think that's how it should be for everyone
you shouldnt not be able to like something just because it's aimed at the other gender and seems "too girly"
I know it's probably never going to totally be like that though;;oh well
and im not really understanding what you're even asking here so just take this as you will

You shouldn't really judge from 1 episode, if everyone did that with things then there wouldn't be a huge fanbase for anything really. The first 2 episodes will make you understand later episodes a bit better.

At one point I forced myself to watch the first episode because I didn't want to hate it without knowing what it actually was. I had a similar reaction to adriangl, it was just too stupid and inane, I could barely stand it. Now thanks to your words of encouragement, I forced myself through another episode and now I'm not sure whether I'm unchanged or if I dislike it more.

The first episodes aren't really that great, but they're needed to understand the better episodes.

Inane? I can see one using that to describe earlier generations of the show, but I don't really understand how you could use that for FiM. Not really to your tastes? Fine, that's understandable. Inane... I just don't see.

I think I get it enough. They're ponies, they're magical, each one of however many there are has some special trait or whatever, and I couldn't care less. Don't think that I didn't understand the story or whatever, I could tell what was happening, I just didn't like it.

that wasn't the point
i mean, i don't know if it's correct or not, i'm leaving it to a real member of the grammer police to figure that out, oh god, this is a run-on sentence, i'm like tavros now D:

It's technically correct, double negatives are mostly pointed out because it may contradict what they're trying to say.

I've watched Nerve's favorite episode, and Veggie's favorite episode.
