Remote Sensor Connections

What are remote sensor connections? Sometimes, when I download and open up a project, it says "remote sensor connections enabled." What does this mean?

Okay, I get it. But what's the point of it? How does it add to your projects?

You can connect to other languages, like Python with it. Using that and a python server and client program, you can make online scratch programs. Example.

Ask me what I'm doing, wait an hour than roll a die, if it's 4-6, I'm playing Skyrim, if it's 1, I'm eating, if it's 2-3 I'm programming.
