writing a narrative!
I have this assignment over break where we have to write a narrative. It could be on anything.
I keep trying different stories but after I write a few paragraphs, I decide that I don't like the idea anymore.
Can anyone help me overcome this?

How about a time paradox?

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Appaloosa/2241730 Here's some help for writer's block. I'm not sure if that's you case or not.
Have you tried thinking of something you really like to do?
I hang out with my younger siblings when I'm stuck. They always make me laugh, and I think I've got sensory overload from too many ideas.
Are you trying to make it humorous? Helpful? Masterful?

I made this great story once about this lollipop man and his adventures to Candyland, but there's this one ninja guy thing that tries to kill him, so they fight and eventually create a time paradox and the universe explodes, killing everything. The end.
And btw I really did make a story about that.

Taking a page from 1982: a government that tries to eliminate words from a language to prevent the formation of rebellious thought.
Edit: to those who don't know, 1982 is a Science Fiction book that was a projection of what 1982 might look like (obviously it was written before 1982

I think he means 1984. I've never read it but it's a classic (but it has some themes inappropriate for children).

You are quite unmistaken. I have to read it over break. It's pretty interesting so far.

Darn it! That's the second time I've messed that up. I hope I don't do that during the impromptu speech
