I'm pretty much over the drama. They told me in March, shortly after my thirteenth birthday. But sometimes I still can't believe it.
You've got it worse I suppose, being adopted. It'll sink in eventually, promise.
Not really, it's just knowing that even the people that gave birth to you don't want to. They don't even WRITE any more. They were young when they had you I understand? Fifteen or sixteen round?
They were both 16 when I was born, and unable to look after a kid. I make my mother go crazy, looking through the town in buggies D: It makes me feel so guilty ...

I'm raised by my birth parents, but my friend is adopted, because his parents were like, 16 when he was born, and they couldn't afford to look after him.

That's actually quite offensive to most people who are adopted.
Most adopted people would love to meet their birth parents, so don't go taking it for granted that you see yours every day.

I'm still trying to work out whether or not I would want to meet my parents...
Would YOU, if they had dumped you at birth? (not literally, but dumped you on the social and stuck you in foster care)

I'd probably go and call my birth dad a few choice words.

It would depend on their reason for doing it. If it was a valid one, like they simply couldn't afford to care for me or something like that, then of course I would. If it just because they couldn't be bothered to me, then definitely not.

They were the ones who were too irresponsible, and created a life form without thinking...

I'd be mad, but not for being born, for being given away without a second glance.

But maybe they would've had enough money, but then got fired from work, meaning they couldn't afford it anymore.

True. The social worers said my mom had started trying to FIND me, and it really freaked me out. It took her 2 months to regret losing her kid. 2 months. \:<
Meh, maybe I'm expecting too much, but she never writes and doesn't give a squirrel >.>

I was raised by my birth parents, but one of my elementary-school friends was adopted.

Mhhm, yeah. Shizzle. XD
And to live with her? Nah, I'd run away. I wouldn't care if they all still 'loved' me, if they truly cared they'd have managed to keep me, wouldn't they? There are hundreds of teen moms that keep their kids~

I've always wondered if I was one of those unfortunate switched-at-birth babies. Because I don't really resemble my parents and both my younger siblings look REALLY different from me, however they both resemble one another.

Hmm. Maybe.
Also, where have you been? Haven't seen you for a year.

Birth parents. But my cousin was adopted from Hawaii. We're actually heading to her family's house right now.

*in fact core voice* About 6 babies are accidentally switched and kept per year.
Any other switches were notice and fixed.
