recording

i know i asked this before, but could i record my voice on a flip camera and then load it onto scratch instead of using a microphone?

Sure, if the camera has a mode that records only sound! Just record the sound and get it into Scratch with the Import button under Sound. Then, you can use it. :-) !

Another method is to take the video and convert it to an MP3 or some other sound file type (I like WAV).

I GUESS you could use an SD card, move the recorded file around into the scratch program under media and sounds.

Sure! If your camera can record just sound, then record whatever you want, then put the audio file on your computer. You can then just go to the 'Sounds' tab on any sprite, click import, find the folder the audio file's in, select the file and click 'Okay'. If your camera has no option to record sound, then you can record it as a video, and then extract only the audio using a file converter. I'd recommend Format Factory; it's free, and can convert any type of image, video and audio, and can also convert any type of video to any type of audio!  smile
