I have been the victim of a hate crime and (I don't know if this counts) but I have been involved in a bank robbery.

How 'bout you?

Re: Ever been a victim of a crime?

Well, there were these teenagers who tried to steal our car at about two in the morning once. It was me who woke my parents up, who then called the police. I felt so honoured at preventing a crime XD

I guess. My brothers steal my things a lot. My brother's friends vandalized a huge Lego structure about 2 months ago.

My French teacher from 4th grade assisted the thievery of a car.

Re: Ever been a victim of a crime?

Yeah, I was hit by a hate crime while I was in poor condition, my body was severely damaged. (The hate was the same thing that happened to imnotbob, 'cept out of school, I go hang out with some random boys, and they find out I'm bi and the hate comes on, of course they were injured more than me.)

Re: Ever been a victim of a crime?

We got robbed.

Stupid teens robbed us.

They took our iPods and DVDs but left jewelry and money behind

Even though they shouldn't have robbed us in 1st place, that was plain STUPID.

Re: Ever been a victim of a crime?

Some dude smashed the back windshield of my dad's car while we were in the supermarket. They took my backpack, which had 3 subjects worth of notes in it, along with a macbook.

Re: Ever been a victim of a crime?

Let's see.
My dad's van was stolen, cutting off his primary source of income indefinitly (we now say permanantly but I have hope)
Thousands upon thousands of small crimes (things were stolen from us, we didn't steal)
A Playstation Vandalism
Someone cut all of the pages out of my copy of Deathly Hallows but I think that was a toddler so I don't count that
Someone stole a ton of PS2 games from me
A death threat or 6
An alleged tire slashing
A series of convenience store shopliftings
A series of Movie store shopliftings
My father was arrested twice, for nothing he did though

I can explain any of these if you want
that's about my life

Re: Ever been a victim of a crime?

A couple times, actually. Once somebody stole my family's lighthouse garden decoration, but we got it back. And somebody threw a rock or something through a window while we were on vacation.  sad

There was really only 3

Well I'd rather not explain one of them
for my own reasons

My dad was housing this woman temporarily and she started trashing stuff so he told her she had to leave and she threatened to shoot him while I was in the next room

My dad was friends with this woman who had this "boyfriend" who really actually abused her. Anyway, the boyfriend ended up thinking this woman was cheating on him with my dad so he came to my dad's house and tried to kill him while I was in the bathroom so I just locked myself in.

Which one? O_o
I'll explain all of them
Ok so
It's a long story, but I'll abridge it as much as possible
My dad had this friend
and this friend had a daughter, a niece and a grandson
Now, this friend of my dad's died
and so these relatives of his, became short of provisions
their lives went to the dogs
they started doing drugs, and the like
They started relying on my dad to feed them
but then they started getting money from the government in an attempt to clean up the streets
so my dad started giving them less and less
so they started stealing more and more
smile
now
The PS2 games were a part of that, but it was also by a boy who I thought was my friend. Yeah right.
So
this one affects me in the strangest way possible, and thusly I am a victim of it.
See, when these people were robbing my dad, he became short of provisions as well
so he ended up shoplifting a couple times
he was detained for a night and won't do it again
but he also got banned from the store so now I have to shop there for him
and no I do NOT shoplift if that's what you're thinking

The movie store shopliftings
now this is going to be hard to describe how I was a victim
because I wasn't
but I wanted to put it down anyway

my dad used to babysit (hense the destroyed book)
and so sometimes, the woman who we babysat for couldn't pay
so she gave us a movie
little did we know that these movies had been stolen
so we turned her in
she reformed
and yeah
but she found a new babysitter
and so we lost another source of income
