An Overview Of Scratcher's Genre of Gaming

After looking around, and being on the forum for a while, here is a little summary of your average Scratcher's gaming habits.

First: Scratchers enjoy classic games, such as Legend Of Zelda, Pokemon, Mario, Megaman, Sonic, very few on the forums do not enjoy these games.

NOTE: MINECRAFT.

Scratchers are a fan of Nintendo, Capcom, and/or Valve.

The scratcher mostly is obsessed with either Portal or Team Fortress 2. (Ex: Making accounts based on characters of these games, always staying in character in these accounts , or having a signature of these games at all times.)

The average Scratcher does not play Shooters, if they do, it's probably a generic game like Call Of Duty. (Or it's just a majority of Scratchers can not play games that are rated high on PEGI or ESRB because of choice or parents.)

I, myself, all I do is play shooters.

QUESTION TO SCRATCHERS IF REPLY (Please answer.)
Have you heard of games such as:

Metro 2033

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Series

Battlefield Series

I ain't obsessed with Minecraft, nor any of the listed games. Nintendo is cool, Capcom is iffy and Valve can go turn itself.

I like SNES RPGs such as Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Star Ocean, Tales of Phantasia, etc.
Also a fan of Tetris and Solitaire.
Pokemon is pretty cool in doses, but I like Generation III the best.
I like Minecraft.

I've heard of that last one but never played it. Not really into shooters.

Re: An Overview Of Scratcher's Genre of Gaming

I by choice and that of parents cannot and will not play most shooters, primarily those based off of war. I do however, enjoy:
Half Life 2
Half Life 2 Episode 1
Half Life 2 Episode 2
Portal
Portal 2
(FOR THE RECORD: I used to play TF2 on occasion but never really liked it)
Uncharted

And of course, series such as
Mario
Sonic
Legend of Zelda
Kirby
Original 3 Spyro games, after that eew no.
Original 3 Crash Bandicoot games, after that eeeeh no.
they're just so dang fun!

I play a lot of other games too

I wasn't going to list them but the games in my collection that I don't intend to trade in would be
Avatar
Batman, Arkham Asylum
Ghostbusters
Infamous
LEGO Batman
LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4
LEGO Star Wars
Lord of the Rings, Conquest
Mirrors Edge
(Until I beat it, Narnia- Prince Caspian)
Prince of Persia
Sports Champions
The Sly Collection
Uncharted
Ultimate Alliance 2

The Orange Box

New Super Mario bros
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Sonic Rush (for a little longer, at least!)

I remember in kindergarten I went over to some guy named Garrett's house and played some Spyro game on his PlayStation. The good old days... :')

Re: An Overview Of Scratcher's Genre of Gaming

Personally? I'm a Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda freak all the way! The portal games are pretty good as well. But shooters, people put ninty down so often ever since stuff like Halo came out. They may like it more than they like nintendo, but that doesn't mean they should mock us for playing it! There used to be a time where EVERYONE used to play nintendo. Including teens and adults. So I just don't understand why people say "Pokemon is for babies" or "Mario stinks" when they all used to play it before.
