Java Doesn't Always Work

I don't know if anyone else has posted this topic before, but sometimes, whenever the project is big, like really big, the Java version slowly loads up to the full, then freezes. I would like Java much better if it wouldn't crash like that.

Then you'd have to contact Scratch about that one.

The Java player is just not very good at handling bigger projects, it's more of a problem on the Java end.

The Scratch Team is going to switch over to making the Flash Player the main online player, you might want to just stick to using the Flash player from now on since it's constantly undergoing a lot of revisions to match the way the Scrtch program executes projects as best as possible.  smile

Re: Java Doesn't Always Work

I would recommend using Flash anyway because with such a big project it would be extremely slow, but you can increase your Java Heap Memory to make more projects load.  Look at this topic.

If you are having trouble with simple counting, use the following mnemonic device: 1 comes before 2 comes before 5,280 comes before 523,860,759 comes after the square root of -153 comes before π. This will make your previous counting problems seem like no big deal.
